About Us
George's Kitchens, Inc. was established in 1973 and has evolved into a company that specializes in designing, manufacturing, and installing high quality custom cabinetry. Our specialties include kitchens, baths, entertainment units, bars, and built-ins. We service a variety of clients who might be building a luxurious home or remodeling an existing home.
Quality workmanship and attention to detail is given to each job, no matter what its size. We begin by providing potential clients with several designs and work with them in deciding what will best meet their needs and tastes. After a design is chosen, the client selects the style of the cabinet, the wood species, a stain or paint color, countertop material, appliances, and hardware.
We offer both overlay and inset style cabinetry with a variety of door styles. We use full extension drawer glides for all of our drawers, which are made of solid maple with dovetail joints. All of our cabinetry is made with a solid wood face frame and 3/4" plywood box. Cherry, maple, and oak make up the majority of our work, but we have built cabinetry out of ash, fir, and mahogany to name a few and are willing to look into any of our clients requests.
Countertop choices include granite, Corian, and laminates such as Formica and Wilsonart. Our granite work is subcontracted through a company that meets our high standards of craftsmanship and quality. We are certified Corian fabricators, so our Corian work is done in house, which has allowed us to further service our clients. We also specialize in building laminate countertops in order to offer a variety of material, colors, and price ranges.
Since no two clients' tastes are the same, typically, no two clients' choice of color is the same. This is why once we have a general idea of a color that interests a client; we make several samples to select from that might be just a shade different from one another. This allows us to offer an almost endless choice of colors whether in stains, glazes, or paints.
Appliances, depending on the client's preferences, can be supplied by us or by another. Either way we will do the necessary preliminary work in order to ensure cabinet sizes correspond with appliance dimensions.
Once we begin a job whether a new construction or a remodel, the installation is completed by one crew, in order to ensure quality and speed. Our business has always come primarily from the recommendations of satisfied clients, and we know the importance of maintaining our high standard for quality. Plus, once you have witnessed our work, you will understand the care and dedication put forth by our craftspeople.
